About The Albuquerque Roadrunner Tournament (TART)

The Albuquerque Roadrunner TournamentThe Albuquerque Roadrunner Tournament, best known as TART, is held annually each September in Albuquerque, NM since 2009. TART is affiliated with the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), which supports over 60 similar tournaments across the country, as well as the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).

The tournament provides educational services, communication avenues, and social opportunities to promote the sport of bowling and to enrich the lives of the participants. It helps bring national attention to Albuquerque, and increase tourism to the state. In recent years, over 50% of the attendees came from out of state.

A portion of the proceeds from the 2014 tournament were www.casaq.orgdonated to Luvin’ Labs (a Labrador Retriever Rescue Organization) and the New Mexico Roadrunner Food Bank. The 2015 tournament donated 50% of ticket sale proceeds to CASA-Q, a local organization whose mission is to “provide safe living options and services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) youth who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.”

In lieu of hosting TART in 2016, we are excited to be hosting the IGBO 2016 Annual!

TART will return in September 2017!
